It arrived!

Four days ago, I was telling my mum that I think I didn't win the Youth Trekkers Campaign since it was already the end if March and no news heard. At the same time, I was hard selling her the itinerary I submitted, telling her that we can visit these places when we visit SY in June. She got quite interested and waited to read more.

So, I logged into my gmail wanting to forward her the itinerary. This email was new and bold:


Double checked at the official website, my name appeared!! A total of 15 winners from Singapore, Malaysia, HK/Macau, Japan and Korea. Also, I realised there are more females than males in the list. Perhaps ladies like to travel more guys? Or ladies like to enter contest?

Inaugural

Finally, the birth of this blog. This shall keep a record of my preparation for THE trip, the trip itself and after that.

I spent almost 1.5 hrs on the footprint header on top. When I created the blog, I chose a random template. Found it too boring. Decided to add pictures and since this is going to be about TW, the map has to go in. Just the outline looks too empty, I need to highlight the counties I will be visiting. Thus, the footprints on the map. As for the rest of the footprints, they are part of the design. The initial colour was pink but soon realized that it is so not me. Changed to orange then. All these done by PowerPoint.

So, why the birth of this blog? Cos I am one of the 15 winners of "Youth Trekkers Wanted" organised by Taiwan National Youth Council:
